The price you have to pay

I'm definitely not Julie Roberts, he's not Richard Gere and this definitely wasn't a movie. However, I do believe that I have now crossed the barrier into prostitution.

Now wait a minute, before you start judging me and saying this will never happen to you, think again, as you never know, it just might.

Yesterday, I gave up my morals (EA, stop it right now, as I do too have "some" morals) and did something I didn't think I would do.

I traded my "special box" for

this "extra special box".

Was it worth it? Yeah baby, it was so freakin worth it and I do it again in a heartbeat!

Kgrams, who put out to her husband, but got some damn good bling for it.

2 notes:
1 - Damn I need a manicure
2 - For those of you wondering/placing bets, he actually picked up the ring Friday evening, I found out he had it Saturday early evening and he gave it to me Sunday morning... he had the ring for a total of 39 hours before I had it on my finger.

Wanna dance?

I haven't posted a lot of pictures of Doodlebug lately as I have been way busy, plus it's tough to get her not to grab the camera. So, I thought I would throw this one out there for ya. I know it may be boring to some of you, but to those of us who know and love her, we just can't get enough.

This was done about a month ago and the song in the background is the theme song for the show Grace Under Fire. For some reason, she loves this song and will stop whatever she is doing to watch/listen. I had to get this on tape as it just cracks me up that she recognizes the song.

TGIF - also known as SPF

OK, I did this yesterday, but wasn't able to load all the pics and then time got away. Now today, blogger has not been nice about loading my pics. So, here it is a little late.

Yes, we have made it through another work week and now we are rewarded with our weekly scavenger hunt known as Stuff Portrait Friday. This week, Kristine wants us to "Show her the $$$" or at least what you've spent it all on.

Last thing you bought for yourself
Last thing bought for you
Your Wallet

Last thing I bought for myself:

This one was pretty easy, as there was this great purchase I made a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it has put a major stop to all additional shopping.

However, when I was at BBB (Bed, Bath & Beyond) last week, I found this large serving bowl and just had to have it.

Last thing bought for me:

You all thought for sure that it would be this.

Well, surprisingly, you are wrong. My DH came home Monday night with these for me. Am I spoiled or what. I think he was thinking that if I saw these, I wouldn't give the pouty face on not getting the ring yet. It worked for a day. LOL

Here is my wallet - I got this at the Coach Outlet Store when DH and I were at Lake of the Ozarks back in August. It is definitely my all time favorite wallet.

Did you play? Let me know so I can stop by and don't forget to drop by and let Kristine know.

Tantrum Thursday - Installment #9

Once again, I am doing my part to help those of you who are looking at Doodlebug's pictures and saying... Oh, look how sweet, I think I want a baby.

Here is what life can really be like with a 9 month old.

1) Help, something has my face
2) The service here is so slow that I need a nap
3) No way am I eating that junk in the jar, I want the good stuff

You pick the title that best describes this picture. Don't forget to stop by and see Crayonz as she started this little tradition.

Another installment of WBW

Yup, it's time for Way Back Wednesday. I've dug out my photos and my scanner is warming up, so I'm all ready for this week's assignment from Mama Duck (aka TKW).

And the assignment is:

"The Great Outdoors...it's the last few weeks of fall, let's see you in the outdoors in the past...fishing, hunting, camping, something granola-crunchy..."

My first set of pictures are definitely way way back. These are from 8/23/1981. I am not in any of these, as I was the one taking the pictures, plus as I'm not very photogenic, I prefer it this way. LOL

This is at a lake where we used to spend a lot of our summers. Dad would cup his hands, let us stand in them and then throw us up in the air backwards so that we would make huge splashes in the water when we would land.

See the cute little girl waiting oh so patiently for her turn? This is none other than Easily Amused.

The next 2 pictures are only a little way back. These are from our honeymoon (Jan 1999).

At the luau, they took a bunch of us on stage to teach us how to do the hula dance. Do you know which one is me? Yup, I am the one on the end with my big butt sticking out. Wouldn't you know this is the picture my wonderful husband would snap.

This was on the beach just a little way down from our hotel. Nope, no swim suit pics for me as I'm not near as brave as Tammy even though I did lose half my suit on the beach, but that's a story for another day

Hope you enjoyed this little adventure as much as I did. If you played (and you had better, cause if I can get behind the baby bed, pull out the boxes and dig through it for pictures to play, then so can you) let me know so I can check out your pics. Also, don't forget to drop by and let Mama Duck know you played too.

Fall Cleaning

It's November and even though it's been really warm, it's past time for some fall cleaning. Out goes the spring/summer stuff and in comes the fall/winter items. Well, my blog is no exception to this rule. I have now spent most of my evening changing my template. I still have a few more things to do and it should be complete by the end of the week. So, make sure to check back later this week and let me know what you think.

Hope everyone has a great night!

I'm happy yet sad

I am have very mixed emotions. On one hand, I am happy, excited, ecstatic and all around giddy as yesterday, my DH bought me something. (you'll have to scroll down to see it)

Yes, I finally get my 5 Diamond Anniversary Band that I have been wanting.

We had discussed that I would get it for our anniversary coming up in January, however then we purchased 2 vehicles and he started saying that we wouldn't be able to swing it. Then yesterday he asked me to meet him at Kay Jewelers. I of course being the wonderful devoted wife that I am agreed without hesitation. Well, yesterday was their annual VIP sale and we were able to get a fab deal on the ring. So my DH bought it for me and is having it sized.

Your sitting at your computer reading this and thinking, what is her problem why is she having mixed emotions. It must be the $ - Nope, not it. Do you give? It's because he says when he picks the ring up, that I can't have it until our anniversary. Yes, he is making me wait 57 days until I can have my ring. This is going to be pure torture!!! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaa

Stuff Portrait Friday - Down There

It's Friday, time for Stuff Portrait Friday. In case you've been under a rock somewhere and don't know how to play, each week the beautiful, talented and newly engaged Kristine over at Random and Odd gives us 3 items which we must run around and take pictures of to post.

This week's them - Down There
Your Door Mat
Your Rug(s)
Your Favorite Socks

My Door Mat:

This is the mat at the front door - nothing at all exciting, but it grabs all the dirt and helps keep the carpet clean.

My Rugs:

This is my kitchen rug. I actually have 2 of these, one in front of the sink and the other is in front of the cabinet where I stand to do a lot of my food prep. They are really cushy and comfortable.

This is the rug in my bedroom. I had a hard time finding a purple rug and was real excited when I found this one.

My Favorite Socks:

If you want to see my favorite socks, you'll have to click here. These are my favorites as they have hearts on them and the fact that they were given to me by my wonderful blog sister Crayonz.

Now I know Easily Amused posted her socks, but I think she may change her mind about her favorite pair when she sees these cuties. (the little piggies in them are pretty gosh darn cute too.)

And a big shout out to my other blog sister Tammy so that she doesn't feel left out tonight.

Tantrum Thursday #8

Tomorrow is TGIF which means today must be Thursday and in the world of Crayonz, it's time for another tantrum post.

Ever since they got this new box, we've been stuck in here in the dark.

What are you guys complaining about, look at us! We get tossed all over the floor, stepped on, crawled over, sat on and now that the Princess got her first tooth today, when we are chewed on, it feels like a miniature razor blade ripping through us. Please, make us go to the dark box for some rest.

It looks like the toys are getting restless, I guess it's time to rotate the poor guys so they all get equal treatment.

I'm so excited

and I just can't hide it, I'm about to go shopping and I think I like love it. Oh, wait that's not how that song goes. Oh well, too bad, but I am going to go shopping asI haven't stepped into a store other then Sam's and the grocery for 2 weeks now and plus, I received an email today that had this link in it.

Any guesses who this might be for?

Yup, I'm going to the place that Crayonz refers to as "Build-A-Bear-And-Empty-Your-Wallet" (like it's not already empty). Anyone want to go with me next weekend???

Way Back Wednesday

It's finally hump day. Not only is the week half way over, but according to Mama Duck over at TKW, it is also the day we pull out those old photos, warm up the scanners and get to laugh at view each others photos from the past.

This week's theme is "If you show me yours, I'll show you mine"...

I am definitely with Easily Amused on being a little scared on this one as she said, "with Mama Duck, nothing is safe".

I knew what pics I wanted to post tonight, but couldn't find them. So, I found these and thought I'll never have another reason to ever post them, so here ya go. Hey, give a girl a break, at least I'm playing this week.

This photo was taken 1 1/2 months before our wedding. Notice anything unusual about this picture?

1) It's November and I'm wearing shorts. (In Missouri, you never know what the weather is going to be like. Hot enough for shorts in Nov and then we had major snow and ice storms the entire week before the wedding.)

2) I have a tan (No, the sun wasn't that great. We were going to Maui for our honeymoon and as my DH says I'm casper the ghost white, I had to get some color before we went.)

3) The fabulous poodle hair do I'm sporting. No comment necessary on the bad hair.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking the flowers are either for my Bday, or more likely the one's he sent me as a "Way to Go!" when I lost 50 lbs. My thoughts on this picture were

1) Wow, that shirt was cut much lower than I realized.

2) I could freakin fly with the wings on my hair. (no TWK, it is not a mullet)

I think instead of WBW, what I should be calling this post is VBH for Very Bad Hair photos.

OK, I played, you can make fun of me now.
