My Life As A Middle Child - Putting Together The Pieces

WTF - When I was a kid

I remember Halloween when I was young...
We would really dress up with great costumes
We had cute little bags or pumpkins for our candy
All the neighbors would give out candy
Once you hit 12 years old, you knew that this would be your last year and even at that, you were pushing it.

Tonight, I had 1 actual small child. An adorable little 2 year old dressed up as bear. Maybe 2 other children under the age of 10. The rest of the trick or treaters were over the age of 12, did not have on costumes or if they did, it was some dollar store mask and were actually using back packs, kitchen trash bags or just collecting the candy in their hands. I even had 1 kid that had 2 bags and asked me to put candy in the 2nd one for his mom. What is up with this???

If it wasn't for the little bear that came by and Doodlebug, Halloween would have totally blown this year.

While I'm on the subject of what it was like when I was a kid, remember this? We loved not only eating the wonderful caramel coated popcorn and peanuts, but really looked forward to the prizes we would get. I had a bag (it wasn't even in a box anymore) recently, I was hard pressed to find any peanuts and for the prize...

Yes, this piece of paper was the prize. It wasn't even a sticker, just a find the hidden sea creature. Definitely a big WTF on this one.

So I flip on the television last night as I am preparing for bed and notice the channel is the Oxygen network. Not a problem, I love the shoes (yes, this was an actual typo, see how my brain works) shows on this station.

What I didn't realize, is that this is what was on. All I know is was going about my business putting on my jammies and getting my sleep machine ready when someone starts talking about vibrators and c_ck rings. Have you seen this show? Between the fact that she looks like she would be someone's sweet little Nana and that they talk about everything and anything that you can image and some things that you can't, it is a real shocker. Let's just know that I went to bed last night as a newly informed person on certain topics.

P.S. I purposely edited the word above as I do not want to go to my stat counter and discover my blog has been found due to that word. I'll leave things like that for Mama Duck over at TKW.

Sneak Peak

Doodlebug wanted to play last night after all, it was a Friday night (ok and she is only 9 months old and that's what she does best). She was also very tired and needed a nap last night and to top it off, she was hungry and needed to be fed her dinner. What do you think we did? We hung out in a hot department store sitting around waiting out turn to take pictures as they were running 1 hour behind.

Now I know this is just a recipe for disaster, but I thought hey, we have the appointment and we're here. Plus, maybe they won't be all so dang cute this time and I will be able to pass some of them up and save me some $.

Here is the proof sheet

Nope, didn't save a cent as I had to buy some of all of them.

It's amazing how this little girl can turn off the crankiness and turn on the charm and the smiles when the camera points at her. Doodlebug is truly the best baby ever!

Another Tantrum Thursday

Today must be Thursday as tomorrow if finally Friday. Quite some time ago, Crayonz declared Thursday's as Tantrum day. This is the day you get to see our darling little dears not in the best of moods.

Here is Doodlebug's tantrum picture for this week. I know she doesn't look very mad, but trust me if you had the audio version, she was ticked.

Someone help me,

I'm slip sliding on this notebook and my shoulders are stuck and I can't get out.

So being the great gma that I am, you know what I did when she got stuck back there and started whimpering and whining? Yup, I ran and got the camera. However, she was full blown mad when I got back and refused to look up at me to snap her picture. We'll work harder on it for next week. LOL

(I really did this on Thursday, however, blogger would not allow me to upload the picture and this post is no good without the picture, so I hold it as a draft until today.)

It's a shoetastic day

Doodlebug is now crawling, standing and walking while holding onto objects. Due to this and fact that the weather is getting cooler, I knew that I had to purchase her a new pair of shoes. After many hours spent reviewing this site, I knew that I could never narrow it down to 1 pair, so I ordered 2.

I was so very excited and rushed home each night to see if they had arrived in the mail. After 2 weeks, I began to worry. I called Preschoolians on the 7th of October and the wonderful young lady who answered the phone apologized and said that I should have gotten them the day before. She stated that if I did not get them in my mail that day, to call them back and they would send me a different pair overnight so that she would have something to wear until the one's I ordered arrived. As that was the day of my car accident, I did not get around to calling them for several more days. When I called back, my call was answered by Ian. Ian was also delightful (I'm not sure where they find such great employees, but I definitely would like to see if they can be cloned for other places I shop) to deal with and explained the hold up was in the shipping to their store. I understood this was something totally beyond their control and told him so. He then told me the strangest thing... due to my problems with not receiving my shoes when I should have, they were going to GIVE me a free pair. I was speechless! No one is ever nice to me when I call them with a problem and they certainly don't try to fix my problem and reward me for my misfortune and bringing it to their attention. I was in customer service heaven!!!!

So, last week a package arrived, it was actually sent to me via 2nd day air by Preschoolians once it reached their store.

I have to say, even the way they are packaged is just to cute.

Here is what it contained

I'm Walking Barefoot Sport Adjust LaceWhite Pink and I'm Walking Barefoot Lycra Mary JaneBlack Smooth

Title for this picture is:
1) Look Gma, I 'm a weeble wobble
2) Hey just what was it you put in my bottle today?

Now for the free pair, I didn't know what to order, so I enlisted the help of EA and her DH. They narrowed it down to about 15 pair. Then between me and my DH, we finally got it down to these.
I'm Walking Barefoot RuggedPink Nubuck

Thank you Preschoolians for taking care of my little Doodlebug's feet, you're the best!!!

A few random things

Easily Amused has been on my butt as I haven't posted lately. To my blogging friends, I would like to say... I'm sorry, but I have been very busy with work and car dealerships. To EA, I would like to say pthwwwwbt.

Ok, now that I have that out of my system, I must tell you a few things that I have recently heard, been told or figured out. WARNING - Parts of this post may be considered TMI. If you don't want to know, then stop reading after the next paragraph. Yeah, like any of you are really going to stop reading... I know you're all just going to skip the next paragraph aren't ya.

In the parking lot of Wal-Mart - We were putting our purchases in the back of the vehicle the other day when EA stated that she was dropping her drawers. I asked her politely to keep them on as this was a family friendly parking lot. Alright, she was really picking up her new little bin sorter with drawers and they started falling out, but I thought it was a funny statement.

In the car dealership - A few of the salesman were in a cube together talking together and did not realize that I was within earshot when one of them told the following joke - What's the ultimate sign of trust? Two cannibals doing a 69.

In the elevator - (EA & TEH, stop the thoughts right there and actually read this) I got on the elevator the other day and the only other passenger was a fed ex delivery guy. Several times he glanced down to the floor by my feet. I looked thinking maybe I had dropped one of the several small pieces of paper I was carrying when he stated "Your toes are really cute". I told him thank you and that it is one of my few pamperings. He then said "Yes, you should pamper them, as they are very suckable and kissable". Luckily about that time the doors opened and he got off as I was to stunned to say or think anything.

Phone conversation with my DH:
DH - Are you wearing your diamond earrings today?
ME - Yes, I always wear them... I never take them out, why?
DH - Would you check and make sure you have both of them?
ME - OK, yes I have both. Why, did you find an earring?
DH - Yes
ME - Oh, it must be the teenager's or Doodlebug's, where did you find it?
DH - In our bed in the sheets

It wasn't Doodlebug's earring. Do I really need to finish this story?

Needless to say I have had several conversations with him and Doodle's mom about NOT doing "anything" and definitely NOT.DOING.ANYTHING.IN.MY.BED. EWWWWW

NOTE: My sheets were immediately cleaned in the hottest water the washer could make and the bed was then febreezed.

And the winner is...

UPDATE: As I have been overwhelmed with things to do and the weather has been crappy, I have not been able to take a picture of my new vehicle. However, here is one in the correct color that I found on Nissan's website. Hopefully this will help the creativeness of my fellow bloggers as you help me choose a name.

Remember this post? Well, I decided I would send a little something to the person that picked the winning vehicle. I had already looked at and test driven the Toyota Highlander and was really leaning towards it. Then, I went to visit a client today who just happens to be a car dealer. When we were talking and I mentioned that I was looking for a new vehicle, the person I was meeting with took me to their sales manager who gave me a deal on a vehicle that I just couldn't refuse and was willing to take my vehicle as a trade in "as is" (meaning that I don't have to fix the damage from the accident) and they gave me a little over blue book value. I was in car buying heaven. So, I signed the preliminary paperwork this afternoon and tomorrow I will go back with my DH and we will sign the rest of the paperwork and I should be driving away in my new vehicle. (In case you want to know, I got the 2005 as it has rebates where the 2006 doesn't... also, no navigation pkg for this girl, waaaaaay to much money for that one.)

Now back to who I will be sending something to. The person that picked this vehicle is... me. Yup, no one mentioned this vehicle. Sorry yonz, no gifts for 2nd place. If I had any $ left, I would buy myself something, but I guess my spending days are over for awhile.

On the way home for the dealer tonight, the vehicle right in front of me rearended someone. When I saw the damage done, I knew that I had made the right decision in buying a bigger tougher vehicle to protect my family, friends and especially my special precious cargo of a Doodlebug.

Ok, I'm thinking I should name this beast... any thoughts?

Are you ready for some football???

It's Monday Night and you know what that means... it's time for some Monday Night Football.

Tonight's game is
St. Louis Rams vs Indiana Colts

As my DH is a major football fan, Doodlebug has agreed to do her duty to help the home state team and be a cheerleader for the Rams.

Is this not the cutest cheerleader you have ever seen?

Is this far enough to be considered the splits?

It's a touchdown - YEAH!!!

If your team needs a little extra help, and you would like her to cheer for them, just send her an outfit and I'm sure we can get a little pep rally goin' for you. Of course, if your team is playing against the Steelers or the Rams she won't be able to help you.

NOTE: Yes, the Rams lost the game last night, however, they were winning while DB was awake. What happens once she goes night-night is out of her little cheering control.

Because I have so much free time

**UPDATE - Yes, items can be shipped out of state. They can actually be shipped directly to the purchaser.
I decided that since I have so much free time on my hands working, helping take care of Doodlebug, raising a Teenager, "raising" a husband and keeping a home that I decided to sell
Stampin' Up!.

OK, really I'm doing it for the discount on the stamps and supplies to feed my scrapbooking and craft habits.

Even though I'm not into this for making the money and am giving big discounts, I still have sales quota I must reach. With that, I have to say a big thank you to Easily Amused for placing the first order.

I tried, honestly I did

Yes, I really tried to clean the house this weekend, unfortunately, it didn't work. I started on the first floor dusting and putting things away and it was looking pretty good until Doodlebug decided to empty most of her toys out of her new toy box. EA even came over on Saturday afternoon and asked what tornado had blown through.

On Saturday morning I got up with the determination that I was going to clean the upstairs.

So, I started in my bedroom and Doodlebug's room (they have a connecting doorway so I can watch her and clean at the same time) with putting items away. Once this was completed, I made the bed and started dusting.

This is what Doodlebug did in her room while I was trying to clean up my desk and put her clothes away.

Here is what she did in my room when I was putting my clothes away and making my bed.

Poor Jasper, he looks like a casualty victim lying there.

This is her contribution to the cleaning effort while I was dusting.

Last night, I started cleaning all over again, but have still not finished. Do I at least get points for trying???

Does this child look deprived?

Tammy (formally known as TEH) noted in her comment the other day that I had deprived poor Doodlebug of such wonderful things as butter, salt and pepper. With that, I feel I must defend myself and my actions.

First I must say that the reason for no salt and pepper is that I love A LOT of salt and pepper on my potato and it would have been way too much for her. With regard to the butter, unfortunately, Doodle is lactose intolerant. Therefore, what little dairy she can have I reserve for things like whip creme and ice cream... after all, there are priorities in life.

Just to prove that she is not deprived, here is a list of some of the non-baby foods I have let her have:

1) Cheerios - crayonz started her on these.

Give me those cheerios.

2) Ice Cream - yes, she licks my spoon whenever I have ice cream.

3) Creme Puffs - If you haven't seen it already, check out this picture.

I just love creme puffs. Look, I saved some on my face for a snack later. Better make sure Aunt T isn't around or she'll be licking it off my face. hehehe

4) Baked and Mashed potatoes

5) Rolls and Biscuits

6) Pasta

7) Dumplings

8) Broccoli

9) Fresh Peaches
10) Bananas

11) Little Debbie Snack Cakes (she gets to gum a little piece off here and there)

12) Cookies

Gma said since I'm a little pumpkin, that I could have one of Papa's pumpkin cookies (she also gave me a ghostie cookie). Wow, these are so good and soft that I can eat them even though I don't have any teeth.

She also said between the pumpkins and ghosts that I should have really colorful diapers this week. Hmmm, do you think that means she finally got the hint that white is out after labor day?

12) Mini Marshmallows

Gma, what's this new white squishy thing you have in your hand?

Umm, not to bad.

See she is not at all spoiled errr deprived.

What, today's Friday?

UPDATE: A new picture has been added. Sorry, but I was working from my desk last night and this pic was on my laptop. For those of you who have already read this, can you guess which picture was added?

You know what that means? Yes, I have to get my rear in gear and go on my weekly scavenger hunt for my SPF pictures. This week, Kristine is having us take pictures of pictures. Yup, you read that right, this weeks subjects are:

The best picture you have ever taken of something/someone
The best picture of yourself & why you think it is.
A favorite picture that someone else took/painted/doodled

I hope I can find all the items and pass this week, as I have been absent the past few weeks and am tardy today, I really need an A. Hmmm, maybe if I post extra pictures I can get some extra credit points.

1) The best picture you have ever taken of something/someone -
This one is really tough for me, as I have taken soooo many pictures of Doodlebug and personally, I think they are all great. I really have to narrow this down to 1?

OK, I am posting 2 pictures. One of the teenager when he was young and one of Doodlebug.

To me, both of these pictures show the innocence of 2 adorable bright babies.

Can you tell that they're related?

Here is another picture that I took.

Can you guess who's ta tas these are??? I just love that she was brave enough to wear this shit shirt (what a typo huh, I had to leave it in as it amused me and I knew it would amuse EA and the person in the picture.) and I'am also a little jealous of the boobies.

2) The best picture of yourself & why you think it is.

This one was even tougher than the first. However, for the total opposite reason. I don't like myself in pictures. I try to stay behind the camera, not in front of it. Even so, I dug out a couple of shots for ya.

These are special because they are photos of me and my Dad when I was little. See how I look like a Daddy's girl? Yup, I was until someone else came along and made me a middle child.

Here is a more recent picture of myself (It's only 13 years old) . This picture has special meaning to me as after I divorced the teenager's dad, I lived with my parents for a couple of years to get back on my feet. After I moved out into my own place I took my son and had our picture taken together. To me, this picture has always been a symbol that no matter what else happens, as long as the two of us stuck together, we would make it.

3) A favorite picture that someone else took/painted/doodled

These are two drawings the teenager did for me around the time he turned 7.

I have always loved the lion and thought he did a great job on it.

When my son brought this picture home and gave it to me, he said "Mom, I thought you needed a night in shining armor to look out for you, so I painted you this picture." I had tears in my eyes when he told me that. The picture was then hung in my cube at work until he got older and begged me to take it down.
So, did you play? Let me know and I'll stop by.

My Tantrum Thursday Post by Doodlebug

Yes, it's Thursday and according to my friend Lauren's mommy (aka crayonz), that means it's time for another tantrum. Yes, as cute as I am, I too have tantrums. Here is my tantrum from this past week. The part of DB was played by me, Doodlebug and the part of Gma was played by my Grandma (you know her as kgrams).

DB - Gma, I miss Aunt T, can she come over and bring Joe Dirt for me to watch?
Gma - No, sweetie, Aunt T is out of town with Uncle D. They went to Chicago so he could run in a the marathon.

DB - Bwaaaaaaaaaa

DB - But Gma, she makes me laugh and doesn't mind it when I slobber all over her Diet Pepsi. Hmm, I have an idea. Gma, can I have Aunt T's password so that I can type on her blog?
Gma - Sure honey, anything you want.

DB - Heh heh, did you guys see that? I knew the crying thing would work, it's almost as good as the grin. Now, I get to play with gma's computer.

P.S. Aunt T, it wasn't all an act, I do love you and I did miss you.

Did you check out the ticker?

Today we reached another milestone… Doodlebug is now 9 months old. While it is exciting that she is getting bigger and able to do more and more, it is sad that she is growing up so quickly.

Last night, we stopped at Red Lobster for dinner. She helped me eat my Cheddar Bay Biscuit, Baked Potato (not to worry, her portion was dished up before I added the butter, salt & pepper) and Steamed Broccoli. Yes, pretty soon we’ll be ordering her meals from the kiddie menu. Twice now, we have given her the kids menu and crayolas. Sorry Crayonz, but so far, her favorite thing to do with them is to bang them on the table or roll them off onto the floor and have us pick them up 50 times per meal. She also also tried eating them a few times when I wasn't feeding her quick enough.

Happy 9 months my beautiful little butterfly

If I close my eyes and think a happy thought, maybe I can fly

OK, I have my happy thought

I still have my happy thought and now I'm standing

Oh look at me, I really can fly

I feel pretty, oh so pretty

This post is being brought to you from our favorite place to visit. Yup, EA and I are actually sitting her with our Mommy getting our pedicures as I type. I {heart} pedi's, mani's and the wireless internet.

These are works in progress

Here are the finished works of art...

Here's a little TMI fact about Easily Amused. Nina normally does EA's pedi & mani, however she was not there tonight. When we left, I asked EA how the new girl did and she responded "OK, but she had too soft of a touch, I could barely feel it when she was massaging my legs." Apparently, EA likes it a little rough. lol
As the new Target is only a few blocks away, we decided to go there after the salon. EA officially had her "Targasm". I hope it was good for her.
Now here are some facts you must know.
1) EA & I both forgot to bring our flip flops and had to wear the ones the salon gives you.
2) The store has a brake system for their carts that does not allow them to leave the parking lot.
So, EA told me that they have these carts at grocery store she has been to and that her DH had to try it to see if it works. I confessed that I would like to see someone try it to see if it would work. To my amusement, EA actually did it. It was funny as hell to watch her push the cart up to the line and it would just stop and then she couldn't budge it. I was ROFL So, afterwards, we start scooching as best as possible in our salon shoes, when EA's break. She then has to put on her regular shoes and keep her toes curled the whole time so that she doesn't rub them on the top of her shoes and mess them up. I guess you had to be there, but it was definitely funny for me.

A little help from my friends

If you read all of this, there will be a special treat at the end.

I need help. (EA stop it right now, I'm not talking about that kind of help. OK, I need that too, but that's not what this is about.)

You remember this post? Well, I am trying to convince my DH that I need to trade my vehicle in on a new one. Now, I love my Mazda Tribute and it was been a great vehicle, but unfortunately, other vehicles seem to like it a lot too, as they keep hitting it.

So, I was thinking today, that I am spending the rest of my life with just one man, should I really make the same commitment and stay with the same vehicle forever? Well, I decided that I would definitely check and see what else is out there.

I do have some basic requirements (these are not in any specific order)
1. Must be a SUV (preferably a small or medium size.)
2. Power door locks and windows
3. Sunroof (this can always be added on)
4. CD Player

So, here is where I need help. Tell me, what do you drive? Do you like it or love it? Is there anything you would do differently now if you had to do it over again?

Ok, as I know I promised you a little treat. Scroll on down.

Here is a picture of the almost 9 month old Doodlebug playing in her new toy box tonight. Yes, she was actually in the toy box.

She was having so much fun in the box, that we decided to add some toys. She immediately plopped her little self down and started having a ball. LOL

Panic Attack

I just went to my favorites to pull up the people I tagged and all my favorites are gone, vanished, vamoosed and any other word you can think of. ARGHHHHH

Thank goodness Bloglines still loves me. These people aren't getting out of their tags so easily. LOL

I guess blogger is not the only one mad at me. Apparently my desktop computer is jealous of all the time I have been spending with my new laptop. I'll have to give him some extra tender loving care this week.

Update: When I went to publish this post, blogger kept saying it was publishing it, but it was 0% done for several minutes. I guess he is still mad at me and I'll need to give him a little more gentle stroking and maybe then some.

Damn these needy men, I sure hope the DH doesn't want some too as I don't know how I will be able to take care of all 3 of them in one week. LOL

I was tagged

I was tagged by Easily Amused and if I don't play, she will never let me forget it. After all, that's what little sister's are best at. (hehehe)

The topic of this meme is: Fun with Archives
The rules are:
1. Go into your archive.
2. Find your 23rd post.
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag five other people to do the same.

So, I went back to find my 23rd post. Here is the fifth line:

The was the first time she has ever donned a bathing suit and gone swimming.

Sounds like something from a good novel doesn't it?

OK, now I have to pick 5 people to play. Are there 5 people still out there that haven't been tagged?

1) Katy
2) I Miei Pensieri
3) Kristine
4) Anyone?
5) Will someone be my friend?

Yes, there is a God...

OK, I was going to post something on Friday that was a happy thought and unfortunately, my accident totally eradicated it. Well, I went back on Saturday and got a couple of pictures.

I had an experience that was like no other. It caused me to have a major "O" and neither my DH nor were shoes involved. Remember this post?

Well, my new Target store opened a week early. I told Easily Amused that I wouldn't go without her, but as she was going to be away this weekend, she twice told me that it was OK for me to go without her. So, yes I couldn't take it and I went. I didn't mean to, but my vehicle just would not let me drive by it one more time without pulling in.

This is the underground parking garage. Shopping and not having to go out in the heat, rain or snow to get to your vehicle. Woo Hoo!!!

The new store is so large that it now has many additional areas:
1) A snack bar that is also has a mini Pizza Hut
2) Starbucks
3) An entire grocery department. Yes, I can pick up all of my groceries (except fresh meat and bakery) at Target.

Now, to go from the garage to the store, they have escalators and an elevator. As I was shopping, I was started wondering how long is it going to take to get the elevator and get back down to my vehicle.

Well, what do you know, they actually have a cart escalator. Is this thing just too cool or what!

Yes, I {HEART} my new Target!!!

I should have gone to work

I took a day of vacation today. The teenager had field day today so I decided to use one of the 11 1/2 days I have left to take him. (read as he is grounded from his car and he needed a ride.)

The day started great, I dropped off my & EA's teenager at the park for field day. I then went to Panera Bread, drank hot chocolate, ate a cobblestone muffin and read some blogs, what a great morning it started out to be. Then, I had a really great experience that I just knew I was going to blog about. At noon, I picked up the teenagers and told them about my experience. They too were excited and wanted me to take them back to where I had been. So, we went home, got the camera (as all good bloggers do) and headed off. We had only gone a few miles when EA's teenager stated that his arm was really hurting from the football game they had been playing and wanted to know if I would take him home. As he didn't have his clothes and house keys, we headed back to our house to get his stuff. This is where my day went down hill....

Lets start now and work our way back...

5) While holding Doodlebug like a sack of potatoes, she decided to have a toot fest (read she was farting in my face). EA, stop laughing, it was not even funny.
4) While crawling around, Doodlebug decided to stop, grab my bare foot and sneeze causing major drool to spew all over my toes and foot. EA, again this is just not funny today.
3) When I picked Doodlebug up from my lap, my right leg had a large wet spot on it.
2) The reason I was picking her up was because she had decided to urp on my left leg.

Yes, I have been farted, drooled, pee'd and urped on today. Really all of these things are minor and normally don't bother me, except I wasn't feeling my normal happy chipper self as the worst of my luck had happened earlier.

1) While waiting to make a left turn (3 blocks from my house) to get my nephew's stuff, we were rear ended. No, it wasn't just a little tap, it was a full fledge, hit dead on. The girl was looking to change lanes and never even knew I was there until she hit us. The only thing that really saved my vehicle was the fact that I have a SUV that happened to come with a tow package. The tow bar actually stopped her vehicle from going further under me and causing more damage. I felt so sorry for the poor girl... she was 19 and had only been driving a few weeks. Let's just hope her insurance is up to date and will fix my car.

Now this accident leads to an even bigger dilemma. Back in April, the teenager was sitting at a red light when someone pulled out of a fast food restaurant and side swiped him on the right front fender. They then took off through the red light. To add to this unfortunate event, he was driving my veh. Then, a few weeks later in May, a guy was going up my street and managed to side swipe my parked vehicle causing damage to the left front fender and bumper. I told my DH that my veh had now been hit twice while stopped and if it happened again, I would be getting rid of it. Well, it has now happened. I really love my vehicle, so do I get rid of it and buy another one? Do I keep it even though it seems like it has a big red bulls eye just like my favorite store?
To top it off, I was trying to upload a picture of my car at the accident, but apparently Blogger is still unhappy with me and wouldn't load any pictures. (I wonder if I went to far in my earlier post and upset him even more.)

Yes, it would have been much easier if I had just gone to work today.

P.S. I did want to play a belated WBW today and SPF, but now I'm just too tired and sore. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and will be able to catch up on some things.

A little humor for Friday

Is this really the end & Do I need an attorney?

I "heart" blogging with Blogger. I also 'heart" all the wonderful people I have met through blogging. To me, Blogger is like a fantasy love affair. I call it a fantasy, as my DH knows about it and from time to time, in small ways, even helps me support this affair of mine. Every now and then when I have spent more time with Blogger than with him, he will even act a little jealous. Yes, this is a true love affair that I have been having with Blogger for almost 6 months now. It even sounds like an affair or at least something a little dirty when I say I like/love blogging with Blogger, doesn't it?

Now, I know that with all good love relationships, there are always low moments when things are just perfect. This week has been in all time low in our little love fest. I know Blogger doesn't like it when I try to upload a lot of pictures at one time. Therefore, I have been resigned to loading them 1 or 2 (max) at a time. This takes longer, buy hey there's something to be said about a nice slow go around, he just doesn't realize that this is not the part of our little affair that I really enjoy. I know that even though I tell him to left justify my posts, that sometimes he gets stubborn and wants it centered. I love the fact that he is free thinking and has ideas of his own, so I just smile and say "OK honey if that's what you really want." However, Wednesday night, he apparently was tired and had a headache. He didn't want to mess around at all. I tried and tried to get him up, but I got nothin', zip, zilch, nada. Then last night, I know I was out late and didn't get home until after 11:00, but he was really mean. He let me have my foreplay of reading blogs, but wouldn't give me my ultimate satisfaction at the end of letting me comment.

I'm wondering if he's mad at me. I been so busy with my work, Doodlebug and the rest of the family that I haven't been as attentive as I was in the past. Is Blogger feeling neglected by my busy schedule? I don't want this affair to end. (If it does, will an attorney be needed to determine the owner of the items we have posted together?)

Yes, I am begging Blogger to please understand how much I do love and need him and if he would please take me back, I will try to give him more of my time.

It's a Doodle kinda night

Yup, it's Tuesday night, that means it's a Doodlebug night. Here are a couple of pics from tonight's fun and excitement.

Doodlebug got her 9 month gift a week early. It's a Peek-A-Block eating Hippo that doubles as a push toy and ride on. What more could you ask of this $25 toy?

Hmmm, do I like the big blue plastic thing or the box?

Daddy, do you have stickers? I love stickers, here let me help you.

Kgrams, look at me now I'm really movin.

Look, my hair is growing. Really it is, can't you see the tuff of it blowing in the air?

My first creme puff. Yum Yum. Sorry Aunt T, but I Kgrams finished it off.
